Learn About Our Studio
Our Mission
At The Artistic Dance Company, our mission is to provide a safe environment for any and all persons to learn and grow, not only as dancers, but as people. We promise to encourage the love of dance, while inspiring self-confidence, discipline, and the importance of hard work.
At ADC, it is our mission to cultivate an environment of creativity, exploration, and growth through dance and movement. We provide this through our quality leadership and instruction within our studio and the classroom.
Our goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where dancers of all ages and abilities can shine at their own level while exploring a variety of dance styles and learning valuable life lessons along the way. We believe the lessons learned through dance—commitment, teamwork, confidence, resilience, and hard work—extend far beyond the studio and help shape strong, confident individuals.
Our Vision
Our vision is to use the art of dance as a foundation for teaching lifelong lessons in teamwork, respect, commitment, perseverance, and confidence. Through dance, we strive to build self-esteem, encourage personal growth, promote physical wellness, and instill a lasting love and appreciation for the art.
We understand that not every dancer will go on to pursue dance professionally, and that is not our expectation.
At ADC, we wholeheartedly believe that the experiences, opportunities, relationships, and life lessons gained through dance can make a lasting impact. The confidence, discipline, resilience, and character developed in the studio are lessons that each dancer can carry with them long after they leave the dance floor.
Our Story
In January 2023, Sophia Wilson took over the ownership and operation of our studio, which was originally established by Tasha Harris in 2000. We are honored to continue carrying on the mission and vision of her legacy throughout our local community and beyond.
For more than two decades, we have helped children develop their interests, abilities, confidence, and passion through dance. Our dancers have grown with us throughout their school years and into college, with some going on to pursue careers in dance and entertainment. While our studio and programs continue to grow and evolve, our commitment to providing quality dance training in a positive, encouraging environment remains at the heart of who we are.
Today, The Artistic Dance Company continues to build upon a strong foundation of dance education, competitive excellence, and a love for the art of dance!
